BP Oil Spills – A Flip-Flop on Regulation

Check out some comments on the Wall Street Journal at the BP oil spill. You will notice some trends, but most of them are clear: the government does not regulate adequately the oil industry, exactly. The government does not regulate the oil industry. Sorry if I missed something, but I thought the drill, baby, drill “slogan was that the government does not regulate the oil industry. Let’s clarify things. Offshore drilling for oil, with or without regulation, it is not certain. To continue to believe that it is a sure way to extract the oil, is a flight of fancy that the disaster will be in the middle. The BP oil spill, while a tragedy would occur again, with the appropriate regulations.

What could the government do? Now to believe, for those who state regulation is necessary, the Federal Government has clearly failed as supervisors of the rules. In the past 20 years, the regulation has been transferred to the oil industry. Despite calls Obama against the oil industry, the team has little to do help. And in a blow to the progressive President in fact plans to expand offshore oil production. The problem we have here is the deep hypocrisy. Do not hate Americans, both the regulation and then wonder if the government was, as a company that cannot be solved. For other news like prop 8 ruled unconstitutional and picture of car wrecks, please visit our website.
